The multi-disciplinary team at The Wellington aim to provide high quality care through research based knowledge and are continually updating themselves with the latest surgical techniques. The team includes nursing staff in Outpatients, pre-assessment, theatres and the orthopaedic ward, along with radiographers, physiotherapists, and the pharmacists who all play a vital role in your recovery.

The orthopaedic nursing team on the first floor are dedicated health professionals who endeavor to make each individual patient stay as comfortable and friendly as possible. The multi-disciplinary approach provides patients with all the necessary input required during hospitalisation and discharge.

Rehabilitation is aimed at facilitating patients to perform all daily activities to the maximum of their potential. Treatment concentrates on reducing pain as well as improving strength, balance and mobility. The physiotherapists will introduce appropriate exercises to assist circulation, reduce swelling, and gradually increase exercise tolerance. Physiotherapy will play a vital role in your recovery after discharge.
