The Wellington Hospital is one of the largest purpose built independent Hospitals, which has an international reputation for providing outstanding medical care. The Wellington Hospital has 266 beds, all with en-suite bathrooms, 15 intensive care beds and 11 operating theatres.
The Wellington Knee Unit is supported by modern well equipped laminar flow theatres and access to the most up to date theatre equipment in the country. Treatment is tailored to the needs of the individual patient and a full range of surgical procedures are available.
A modern multi-specialty imaging suite is situated on the ground floor of The Wellington Hospital campus South Tower. The newly refurbished and comprehensive Imaging suite is bright, spacious and adjacent to the Knee Unit providing easy accessibility for immediate scan or x-ray providing the consultant with the ability for instant diagnosis. In addition to a full range of plain radiographic examinations the department is fully equipped to undertake a diverse range of specialized procedures including;
- Latest generation 64 slice CT scanner
- High definition ultrasound
- Digital Flouroscopy
- Angiography and Interventional procedures
- MRI suite incorporating two state of the art scanners.
