THE UNIT

receptionThe Wellington Knee Surgery Unit is for the treatment of all patients with disorders of the knee ranging from children's abnormalities, knee ligament and cartilage injuries to arthritic conditions.

With an increasing public interest in sporting activities injuries to the knee have become more frequent. Fortunately, with greater demands, there have been rapid technological advances in the management of knee ligament and meniscal injuries, resulting in earlier mobilisation and rehabilitation.

The Wellington Hospital has responded to the increased need for knee disorder management by establishing the Knee Surgery Unit as a highly specialised unit within the UK's premier private hospital.

The Knee Surgery Unit is staffed by Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons experienced in the field of knee surgery. Besides expertise in surgery, the Unit contains the latest equipment for knee assessment and rehabilitation including the Cybex 6000 computerised knee rehabilitation system, KT2000 arthometer and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
